David Malcolm Fox aka Justclippings is an analog collage artist from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
He left home at fourteen to attend boarding school; discovering there a passion for the arts and aversion to the status quo. Home is where he leaves traces of his street art (eleven cities and counting) His preferred medium: wheat paste and paper. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Shepard Fairey, Swoon, and Banksy he adds colour, contrast and often comedy (Public property is yours too) to blank walls, alleyways, bus stops and dumpsters. Second hand bookshops and waste centers offer libraries of materials.
Since 2018 he has challenged himself to generate abstract works derived exclusively from a single book or publication. His debut art show "Drowning in Material" urges the viewer to pause, to question their consumption and to make better use of the existing abundance of their surroundings and possessions.
